Job Description

 

LFS is looking for a Product Development Manager to join their New Product Development team. Reporting directly to the head, this role will work alongside Product Delivery, Management and Governance teams to ensure new products are developed effectively and in accordance with commercial requirements.

The New Product Development function is responsible for co-ordinating the development of new products for new (and existing) clients. This involves taking ownership of the development cycle from initial Invitation to Tender through to detailed design, build and launch in accordance with the product development process. 

Main Responsibilities: 
•    Effectively manage the development of new products for new [and existing] clients in accordance with the product development process.
•    Work closely with New Business Development and Client Relationship teams and external portfolio managers to define product opportunities and draft proposals for new products.
•    Work within the Company’s governance framework to obtain the necessary business approvals and project milestone sign-offs.
•    Co-ordinate work with business development, client relationship management, external portfolio management, operations, compliance, risk, legal and finance teams to ensure full support for the new product launches.
•    Build and maintain competitor and general market knowledge, as well as technical knowledge from both an investment and regulatory perspective.
•    Actively contribute and lead on ad hoc projects as they arise.

 

 

Qualifications

 

•    Knowledge of the asset management industry and regulation.
•    Track record of delivering different product types to varied client types and in different regulatory jurisdictions.  
•    Ideally, experience in UK tax-transparent structures for institutional investors.
•    Proactive, adaptable and analytical approach and a commercial aptitude.
•    Ability to work directly with external clients and their advisers
•    Positive attitude and ability to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues across the business and senior management.
•    Strong project management skills.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
