Job Title: Product Governance
Location: London City (the role will initially be based from home due to Covid-19 restrictions)

The Role:
My client, a Fixed Income Asset Managet based in The City, are looking to hire a Product Governance specialist with in the investment management industry. The role will be based within the Product Governance function, working with the Firm’s Deputy COO.
Primary Responsibilities
Product launches:
Assist in product launches, liaise with all stakeholders throughout complex launch projects
Product life cycle
Manage all areas of product life cycle, including reviews, amendments and terminations, in line with relevant regulatory requirements
Product Governance Committee
Partake in, minute and collate materials for monthly Product Governance Committee meetings
Board and stakeholder liaison
Manage materials and relationships with all fund boards and service providers, representing us at board meetings where required
Data management
Work with Risk and IT functions to develop Product database
Requirements
Industry experience
Previous relevant experience in the investment funds industry/business
Product background
Good knowledge of investment and/or distribution of a broad range of investment strategies and products, including UK and Irish fund structures, UCITS funds and listed investment companies
Regulatory knowledge
Working knowledge of AIFMD, UCITS, FCA handbooks including COLL and FUNDS and MiFID II Product Governance requirements.
Experience of interacting with regulators (particularly FCA, Central Bank of Ireland, CSSF).
Project management
Experience with project and process management
Communication skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business unit and key stakeholders
Problem solving skills
Proactive approach to seek process improvements and efficiencies
Potential Candidate Profiles
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in products and the product governance process, and in-depth knowledge of product regulations including MiFID II requirements. The candidate will be experienced in working in a project environment, and with all internal and external stakeholders, including clients and directors
