Python Architect/Engineer is required for a boutique international investment.
This is a 24bn private investment office with global reach who operate across a broad spectrum of asset classes. This includes a range of work including mainstream strategies such hedge funds, private equity and real estate. As well as more unique ventures such as reinsurance and life settlements.
My client are using Python and Flask as their framework, with the Front End of their applications built using React js. The existing architecture for a lot of their cor applications is already in place, this is a brand new greenfield project that will require engineering and architectural experience.
After a period of strong growth and progressive development they are looking to bring on a new Senior Python Engineer to work on a project that will oversee moving from a monolithic application into a modern, micro-services environment. This will be a portfolio/risk management system.
The ideal candidate will have excellent full stack Python, micro services, Flask. Ideally you will have the ability to pick up new coding practices quickly and have a desire to work with the business. You will be working on a number of greenfield projects ranging from the development of the entire Python library, Portfolio tools and other investor/client platforms.
They are looking to make the hire a 6 month rolling contract, and will look to renew if things work out well mutually.
My client are looking for a professional who pays close attention to detail, possesses good communication skills and the ability to analyse and solve problems in a logical manner. As expected you will be working closely with Stakeholders and be expected to drive technical development.
