Job Description:
The Quantitative Strategies Group within Bank of America Merrill Lynch is responsible for the models and analytics used in Sales & Trading in our Global Markets division. We design, build and maintain tools for the analysis, pricing and risk management of financial products across all asset classes through a highly collaborative approach. Our team embraces change, shares knowledge and focuses on mentoring and development.

The models we develop and implement and the analytics we provide, help us calculate the value and risk of the financial products that we provide to our customers, to enable better decision making. Join us and you will help provide new thinking to help solve complex problems. You will immerse yourself in analytics, without ever losing sight of the end solution. You'll need to have the vision to interpret advanced requirements and the ability to create new insights and methodology, which will improve the way we work.

If you are interested in working with us, we require:

  • A strong academic background in a quantitative subject; Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or another technical field
  • Programming skills, ideally in Python, C++ or Java
  • Statistical / data analysis skills in a areas such as probability, numerical analysis, optimisation techniques, machine learning, high performance numerical computing, compilers, programming languages and Monte Carlo simulation
