Quantitative Investment Firm Looking to Build out an entirely new Systematic Equities Platform

You will be working with some of the very best software engineers and quantitative
researchers in the world on data-driven trading strategies, written on a
proprietary Java platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on design, development, and testing of trading applications
  • Testing at the unit, functional, and integration level
  • Collaborating with various trading desks, IT, and other business units
  • Working on legacy code as well as greenfield development
  • Learning about trading industry practices, models, strategy, and vocabulary
  • Providing on-call support as needed 

Required Skills: 

  • Strong experience writing latency sensitive code using Java.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Front-end and back-end development experience
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, object-oriented programming and distributed systems
  • Full-stack Linux development experience
  • Network programming experience
  • Test-driven development (TDD) experience  

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in derivatives modeling and statistical analysis of time series
  • Experience coding in Rust
  • Experience with parallelism/concurrency
  • Experience coding in Python
