Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Securities Services team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Key Responsibilities of this role will include:

Manage, either directly or supporting other members of HGHQ and HBEU, all Regulatory Engagement within the region. This includes regulatory meetings, visits, reviews, thematic work, investigations, enforcement activities, reporting, information provision, correspondence etc. whether regular, recurring or of an ad hoc nature. Within this, to have specific focus on the maintenance of the Regulatory Engagement FIM and DIM, oversight of regional implementation of the FIM and DIM and the provision of training, training materials and .support drive, support as appropriate, an open regulatory culture across all regulators, as evidenced by a "no surprises" culture.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience of interacting with regulators. Some experience of preparing and mentoring Senior Management including Board Members, prior to meetings with regulator(s)
  • Broad knowledge of both regulatory and financial crime compliance risks and industry good practices in managing them across jurisdictions and businesses, especially in the context of managing regulatory relationships
  • Broad knowledge of financial services regulation as relevant to HSBC's RBWM, GPB, CMB and GBM EU regulated businesses
  • Track record of overseeing reporting and delivery of management information to senior management
  • Track record of design, delivery or optimisation of technology support for business needs
  • Knowledge of HSBC's Group structure and business model and an understanding of HSBC's corporate culture, advantageous
  • Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues
  • Excellent communicator with strong inter-personal and influencing skills
  • Good team player
