Role Overview:
We're looking for an Operations Reporting Analyst capable of providing a business focused view of performance data to aid the management of our divisions. You'll be looking for an opportunity to provide an analytical service to the divisions.
You'll be up to speed on operational reporting processes, and keen to explore how we can improve the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of data.
Key roles & responsibilities:
- Delivering a reporting service to execute a common set of service reporting standards, processes and deliverables across BTS.
- Maintaining reporting and analysis toolsets to ensure accurate performance MI is available.
- Delivering accurate and timely daily, weekly and monthly performance MI to the HoD with appropriate levels of insight, analysis and challenge to enable their clear understanding of and be able to account for the operational performance of the unit.
- Maintaining a catalogue of services and operational measures, ensuring new requirements are acknowledged and documented and old or not required data sets are removed in an orderly way.
- Implementing improvements to reporting services.
Skills And Experience required Minimum

- Experience of providing operational performance reporting to IT and change divisions of large companies or government bodies.

- Experience of operational reporting techniques and working to reporting standards; Computer literacy with well-developed skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint Several years of experience handling data in excel.
- Familiarity with Visual Basic/VBA in Excel/MS Access to automate tasks and process data.
- Familiarity with Tableau software - data visualisation tools.
- Analytical ability - able to critically assess information to make sound recommendations and inform decision making from data;
- Problem solving ability - able to identify issues arising from data accuracy and take corrective action;
- High levels of personal organization, capability to manage a variety of competing tasks and issues, prioritising appropriately and escalating where necessary.
Desirable
- Experience of implementing reporting toolsets and frameworks for monitoring a divisions' performance against indicators and service measures;
- Proven experience with providing end user dashboards using Tableau Proven experience in VBA macro programming.
- Knowledge of the relevant division's objectives and initiatives and how these will affect the divisional operational reporting;
- Knowledge of the relevant division's activities and how these translate into operational and service plans;
- Knowledge of the data requirements of the BTS leadership team to enable sound performance management and control.
