Data Quality & Governance Analyst - Market risk - Investment Bank, PMO, Consultant

For this reputable investment bank we are looking for a Risk Governance Analyst. 

You will be joining the Market Risk Analysis and Control (MRAC) function and you will be responsible for the provision of all official market risk metrics and core analysis in support of risk management decision making, on behalf of the Market and Liquidity Risk Management department that provides an independent view of market risks to bank’s senior management and manages bank’s Market Risk position in an independent and neutral way.

Your team has a global presence with staff located in London, New York, Frankfurt, Berlin, Singapore, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing the reporting packs of the monthly Market Risk Process Optimisation Council (MRPOC) and the Quarterly Holistic Validation (HV)
  • Analysing data and preparing the meetings where the above reports are discussed
  • Taking minutes and following-up on actions post-meeting
  • Chairing the above meetings, once familiar with these processes and the type of issues faced by MLRM
  • Processing the triage of the identified issues and maintaining the Data Quality Direct database where these issues are logged
  • Monitoring open issues and ensuring that any identified issues are on target for remediation by their respective owners
  • Providing timely responses to ad-hoc requests to supporting the team to deliver successfully

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience of Market Risk is ideal, but previous experience in Operational Risk, Credit Risk, or a Consultancy is also beneficial
  • Understanding of Risks and Controls analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills and an ability to manage a large quantity of information and data
  • Structured organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise whilst being responsive to ad-hoc requests
  • Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across the Bank
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, building strong business and team relationships
