Risk Manager - Asset Management Global Risk Office (Parental leave)
Come and join Macquarie Asset Management's Global Risk function as a Manager/Senior Manager on a 14-month fixed term contract.

In this role you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and experience to play a key role in supporting the implementation and development of our risk strategy. Our Risk team supports the business in providing risk guidance on transactions, new products and opportunities and implementing a strong risk management framework, including assessing that the critical controls of the business are designed and operating effectively.

A core component of the role will be the design and delivery of our Risk Management portfolio of projects and risk management. You will also contribute across Macquarie Asset Management's operational risk framework which includes projects, assurance and risk framework alignment.

You will support Asset Management's Chief Risk Officer, our Risk Heads across EMEA, APAC and the US, while working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders within Asset Management, Macquarie's central Risk Management Group and other specialist areas of Macquarie to reinforce a culture of risk management.

You will be a key member helping to manage our projects deliverables and evolving change landscape.

You will be responsible for:
  • Contributing to various Asset Management projects and controls assurance through identifying, managing, reporting and mitigating operational risks and additionally working with a broad range of business stakeholders to develop a strong risk management culture.
  • Coordinating Risk's global project portfolio and delivery of our growing change landscape - supporting end-to-end change management including communications and training
  • Supporting the Asset Management Risk Leadership in strategy related initiatives, governance/executive reporting and providing day to day support on ad hoc queries and requests from stakeholders across the group
  • Collaborating with the Global Risk Team to support optimisation of central tools and processes to align with the One Macquarie Asset Management Agenda

You will have a strong understanding of business non-financial risk related frameworks, control environments and technology via risk management or equivalent roles. You will use strong stakeholder engagement skills to initiate and lead conversations with senior stakeholders, whilst demonstrating critical thinking and the ability contribute to thought leadership in the delivery of risk insights.
