Applications are now being accepted for an experienced and talented Risk Manager to come onboard as an integral part of a "start up" based in Canary Wharf - prior experience within Cards or Payments is a distinct advantage.
Ultimately you will be responsible for designing and implementing the overall risk function for the organisation and the ideal candidate will have expertise across a broad range of risks associated with cards/payments, such as Credit, Enterprise, Technology, Security and Regulatory.
You will also be responsible for advising the company on how they can avoid, reduce and transfer risks associated with cards, payments and technology. Previous exposure of presenting and liaising with both senior and external stakeholders.
The right candidate will be innovative and confident working on their own autonomy but must also be comfortable collaborating with other teams and stakeholders when necessary. You will have no direct reports immediately, however once you have created a robust risk framework, you will then begin growing out the risk team, so exposure to people management is beneficial.
The role is with an innovative company who are at the forefront of advances within card/payments sector while using technology and platforms to further their success across the UK and Europe; commercial acumen and awareness is of paramount importance and the ability to work in a fast paced and evolving environment.
It goes without saying, given the remit of the role, you must be able to display previous, hands-on experience whereby you were a key player in implementing risk frameworks, policies and procedures.
MBA/Degree/Academics within Risk Management and Technology are warmly welcomed, and the ability to travel within Europe are also part of the remit of this position as and when needed.
