The successful candidate will be a member of the team responsible for monitoring, assessing and reporting on regulatory capital, credit, liquidity, market and other financial risks arising across the company.

This is a senior associate / assistant director level role.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience within a banking environment (or major accounting or consultancy firm)
  • Knowledge of all or some of the following: Regulatory capital and ICAAPs, liquidity, credit and market risk
  • Financial modelling/planning experience
  • ACA or similar accounting qualification
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced numeracy skills
  • Good report writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build relationships across the business
  • Self-motivation, and a flexible attitude


  • Assisting in the formulation and implementation of policies, procedures and methodologies and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Collection and analysis of risk information from around the company. To involve in particular the interrogation and piecing together of similar data from different sources. Primarily quantitative and financial based, but not exclusively
  • Analysis of new products/transactions from a financial risk viewpoint, proposing recommendations and modifications as appropriate
  • Assisting with the preparation of internal financial projections for capital and other planning purposes, including stress testing. Preparation of related reports for Group boards/committees and Regulators
  • Preparation of regular (quarterly and monthly) risk reports to senior management, covering regulatory capital, credit, liquidity and market risks across the company
  • Monitoring the Group’s regulatory capital, credit, liquidity and market risk exposure, including limit breaches and escalate as appropriate
  • Managing workflow effectively so that information is gathered and reports are produced in a timely manner
  • Involvement in ad hoc initiatives or other Group Risk activities as required
  • Guidance to businesses and functions on queries relating to financial risk
  • Managing and maintaining regular communication and good relationships with stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining skills and knowledge related to financial risk
