To work in partnership with the Senior Risk Specialist to deliver the Risk Function’s testing programme. This includes assessing the effectiveness of controls, procedures and policies within the business, as well as delivering robust reporting to demonstrate findings and track actions.

•Help embed an effective risk management framework across the bank by delivering a testing programme on the assurance of the risk environment across 1st line business areas.

•Work with different business areas to scope and plan testing, ensuring engagement with key stakeholders and understanding of testing objectives.

•Conduct testing on the Design and Operational effectiveness of controls, including demonstration of the ability to create testing strategy’s, effective execution and clear results reporting.

•Manage the risk monitoring plan, ensuring that timescales are met and testing completed in line with committed deadlines.

•Responsible for governing process and procedures across the business, ensuring that where process or procedures are revised, these are reviewed and a record is maintained.

•Identify and initiate opportunities, through testing, where processes can be improved and work with business areas to deliver.

•Become an expert on the processes and procedures operated within the business, providing support where changes to process or procedures are being delivered.

•Report monitoring results and agree actions with key stakeholders, working with the business to facilitate remediation and action closure.

•Manage the test process for departmental control logs under the guidance of the Senior Risk Specialist.

•Work in partnership with the banks internal and external audit teams.

•Carry out Ad-Hoc risk reviews within the business, creating testing plans and programmes using own knowledge and initiative.

•Represent the risk team on formal committees, business wide projects and working groups to ensure that a strong risk culture is promoted.

​Skills & Experience

•Banking experience with strong knowledge of Risk and Control Frameworks

•Have an analytical mind and an excellent eye for detail with a methodical approach

•Numerate & technically minded with strong pc skills

•Enthusiastic and able to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach

•Team player, supporting both your colleagues and managers in delivering new projects and supporting existing systems
