An International Insurance Company based in London are currently recruiting for a SOX Audit Manager to join their Audit Division on a 9month contract (MAT Cover).

An International Insurance Company based in London are currently recruiting for a SOX Audit Manager to join their Audit Division on a 9month contract (MAT Cover).

As a Senior Auditor, you will be part of the International Internal Audit team responsible for

  • Lead the SOX 2020 programme in accordance with the audit/SOX methodology and professional standards.
    • Planning - Performing process walkthroughs to identify the key activities, risks, and controls.
    • Risk Assessment - Applying risk and control concepts to assess control design and developing a test approach of the key controls.
    • Review test of design and operating effectiveness of SOX controls
    • Communicate any issues with management
    • Manage the audit teams, delegate task and provide guidance to staff in the execution of assigned SOX process/ audits
  • Challenge and provide advice about risk and control considerations
  • Maintain organisational and professional ethical standards and ensure internal audit/SOX activities are carried out or supervised in compliance with the applicable standards.
  • Maintain a strong ongoing relationship with management, regulators, and external auditors
  • Track and monitor management action plans and report status to the global US Internal Audit/ SOX Team
  • Develop and oversee computer-assisted / Data Analytics audit techniques for testing controls

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have;

  • Minimum 5 years audit experience, preferably in an insurance environment.
  • Strong SOX experience.
  • ACA, ACCA, PIIA, CMIIA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent accountancy and audit qualification.
  • Solvency II, FCA Conduct Rules awareness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What the position can offer you in return;

  • The base salary on offer ranges between, £65-£75k (pro-rata to 9 months) depending on experience and comes with a bonus and an attractive benefits package.
