Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Benefits and Compensation Analyst, based in London. For this position, we are open and committed to discussing flexible working.

The role is part of a team responsible for the management of employee benefits (including pension and wellbeing plans) in five EMEA countries.  Reporting to the EMEA Regional Director Compensation and Benefits, this position has a primary focus on benefits and will provide additional support for regional compensation activities.

In particular, the role will have the following responsibilities:

Benefits (c.70%-80% of role):

Responsible for day-to-day management of benefit plans in the region, from overall administration to annual renewal activity, including working with external consultants and vendors.

Provide a high standard of advice, guidance and support to the HR team, managers and employees regarding benefit matters.

Develop and deliver employee benefit, pension and wellbeing communications.   Includes updating employee handbooks and intranet content, review existing communications and driving improvements.

Partner with vendors and deliver information sessions to employees in local offices.

Identify and implement efficient process improvements.

Recommend and implement changes to current practices based on legislative and market trends affecting benefits in the region to ensure the firm remains compliant and competitive.

Participate in industry network forums, keep abreast of trends.   Share insights internally.

Compensation (c.20-30% of role):

Work as part of the Global Compensation team to support the delivery of the annual compensation review, undertake projects or ad hoc compensation analysis.

Point of contact for HR and managers throughout the region on compensation related matters.

Advise on compensation levels for new hire offers and conduct supporting analysis.

Support in the preparation of content for Compensation Committees.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

Experience of benefit plan management and administration, ideally within EMEA.

Strong analytical and numeracy skills; comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings.

Customer service orientation with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations - ability to serve multiple customers (employees, managers, HR).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Strong cross-cultural awareness, sensitivity, and high level of confidentiality.

Ability to exercise problem solving skills and independent judgement using analytical and consulting skills.

Solid project management - e.g., develop project plans, scope and ensure execution and delivery.

Highly detail driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comfortably interact with people at all levels of the organisation.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Ability to use discretion and deal effectively with uncertainty, change and ambiguity.

A roll-your-sleeves up /hands-on attitude. Comfortable working in a broad role and undertaking a variety of activities, ranging from benefit administration activities, spreadsheet analysis, vendor management, to presenting to employees and managers.

Proactive approach.   Willingness to be creative, make recommendations and exercise initiative.

Previous experience within financial services is strongly desirable.

Workday HR Systems experience would be highly preferable.
