Role description

Managing risk and establishing effective controls are at the heart of good governance and sustainable superior business performance. Our Technology, Risk & Controls (TRC) team offers unrivalled depth of experience in providing governance, risk, control and assurance solutions to client needs, with focus on the Financial Services Sector (FS). We design, implement and provide assurance over business process and technology controls to manage the risks our clients face on a day-to-day basis.

Successful candidates will work closely with our high-profile clients in the capital markets and retail banking sector, which include investment banks, brokers and exchanges.

Location

This role is located in our London office. Travel to client sites is required.

Hours

This is a permanent role (typical hours are 9.30 – 5.30pm) with a degree of flexibility. We do encourage careful consideration of agile ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients.

Responsibilities

Senior Consultant will have responsibility for:

  • Delivering to the highest quality which will include external audit, internal audit and service auditor reporting (ISAE3402/SOC reports) engagements.
  • Field managing and supporting the development of onsite and remote team members.
  • Building your existing experience of the Financial Services industry to help develop genuine insight.
  • Helping senior staff develop our FS practice, by supporting business development, practice management and thought leadership activity.
  • Developing your knowledge and experience of the evolving Financial Services marketplace and underlying technologies.
  • Start to build client relationships with Financial Services clients.

Requirements

To qualify for the role you will have:

  • Experience of supporting technology assurance engagements such as external audit, service auditor reports and integrated audits (Sarbanes Oxley for example).
  • Experience of assessing and reviewing technology risks and controls including over areas such as logical access, change management and IT processing and operations. Experience or exposure to areas such as devops, agile and cyber risk assurance is desired but not essential.
  • Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, question the status quo and deliver effectively with what can often be ambiguous requirements or environments.
