Senior Desktop Support Engineer
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deskside Engineer to join a large IT company based in Kings Cross, London.

Urgent requirement due to increased global demand, this is a permanent position for a very well known, and respected organisation.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deskside Engineer to join a large IT company based in Kings Cross, London.

Working in a global Service Delivery team you will provide 1st & 2nd Line Desktop Support to 200 + users using a range of technologies.

Duties to Include
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems
  • Talking to staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Deployment/troubleshooting of Phones (desk, mobiles, Cisco Wireless Devices, Conference), Troubleshooting systems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications
  • Supporting audio visual systems and services including video conferencing
  • Testing and evaluating new technology
  • Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment



About you:
  • Proven 2nd and 3rd line desktop support experience.
  • Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 experienced in using Microsoft Office Apps and supporting Office 365.
  • Active Directory administration (Users and Computers).
  • A good understanding of Network support including wireless technologies.
  • Hardware support for desktops, laptops, tablets, smart phones and printers.
  • Working knowledge of the Service Management and other system/desktop management toolsets (endpoint management solutions, LANDesk/Ivanti, SCCM etc.)
  • Consistent provider of excellent customer service.

Desired Experience/Skills /Certification
  • MSCA Windows 10.
  • ITIL Foundation Certified
