Communication, Problem Solving and Pro-activity is essential.

Manage all aspects of an outsourced EMEA and Nordic Payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments, benefits, statutory contributions, tax, etc.

 

Perform pre and post audit / reconciliation of payroll trial and confirmation processes, gross to net totals, and YTD accumulations.

 

Coordinate and reconcile all Payroll related funding and cash disbursements

 

Review, maintain and update the General Ledger Payroll Account Master as well as preparing the payroll general ledger files for the US Finance Team

 

Create and maintain Payroll Operations and Tax Reporting calendars / schedules

 

Liaise and partner with global and regional Human Resources, Benefits, Executive Comp, HRIS, and Finance teams

 

Ensure all regulatory mandates are adhered to, including SOX compliance and internal and external audit requirements on the end-to-end Payroll process (from HR data capture through gross to net payments, as well as the GL file handoff to Finance).

 

Ensure timely and accurate periodic Tax declarations, Withholding tax, Social contribution, disbursements / remittances are made (this includes communicating with various local government and employment agencies)

 

Review and ensure appropriate approvals are received for special payments, year to date adjustments, journal entries, wire transfers, Inter-company Transfers, etc.

 

Coordinate all phases of year end/year begin responsibilities which includes employee and employer Year End Tax Forms, Equity, CRD, and Bonus issuances and payments

 

Analyze current departmental processes to ensure performance is at optimal level and in compliance with firm policies and statutory mandates. Propose changes, enhancements to facilitate process improvements and optimize efficiencies where deemed necessary

 

Review, create, maintain and update Payroll User guide and work flow documents

 

Coordinate regulatory / statutory or internal and external (KPMG) reviews / audits.
