Role for a career minded buy-side focused Investment Risk Analyst who is looking for the next step in their career. My client is truly multi-asset in nature, innovative, hugely well respected amongst its peers, and, going through a very exciting period in its business cycle.

The Opportunity:

  • This is a newly created opportunity working for a very innovative Global Asset Manager with a dynamic and entrepreneurial culture
  • Working within a small, focused and experienced team, you will play a key part in providing proactive support to the firm’s Investment Risk Management framework
  • My client has a strength in investing across a range of asset classes, so, you will therefore be covering equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios
  • Within this role you will play a key role in delivering the day to day business as usual risk management reporting, as well as taking responsibility for further developing and implementing a standardizes framework to identify, measure, and monitor market and investment risks on a firm-wide basis
  • More detailed duties will therefore include: supporting the development of “state of the art” risk analytics tools; monitoring and enhancing risk data quality within portfolio management systems; working with other senior risk managers and investment teams to ensure investment risks are fully understood; develop tools to ensure requirements of UCITS and AIFMD regulatory frameworks are met across relevant fund etc.


Your Experience:

  • You will have an excellent record of academic achievement within a numerical discipline, and, most likely a professional Risk Management qualification and / or undertaking CFA studies
  • Programming proficiency in VBA and SQL, possibly matlab
  • Knowledge of buy side market risk platforms, such as RiskMetrics and/or BarraOne 
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a reliable team player
  • Highly motivated and organized with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests and excel in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently whilst within a team environment
