Performance Objectives:

  • Maintain and enhance real-time pricing components which directly drive all trading decisions and also work on new pricing models
  • Build complex, reliable trading systems and make strategic technical decisions to revolutionise Mandara’s existing trading capacity
  • Take ownership of innovating existing software by identifying best-fit technology
  • Advance Mandara’s technological capabilities by consistently coding to an exceptional level
  • Use excellent communication skills to work with a variety of stakeholders to create clear deliverables in line with the business strategy
  • Deliver projects quickly within a fast-paced working environment

Experience and Skills

Essential:

  • Exceptional Java coding ability
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a development capacity
  • Understanding of financial markets, systems and instruments
  • SQL, SQL Server and MySql
  • Experience of complex, multi-threaded application development
  • Real-time messaging experience and asynchronous design
  • Degree in Computer Science, or a related field

Important:

  • Working experience of agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Interest in trading business

Useful:

  • Low latency design and GC tuning
  • C# knowledge, Linux and Windows admin
  • Spring boot knowledge, UI development, Python
