My client a BIG 4 consultancy is searching for a Senior Manager (Bid manager/architect) to join their UK Powered Enterprise Commercial Management Office (CMO). You’ll be responsible for developing the right solution to enable the team to win bids and to ensure that the solution meets the need of the client. Your work will also involve initial costing ensuring the final solution is commercially attractive and viable for the client. With subsequent support of the sales and delivery through the legal and commercial negotiation process while ensuring the in-flight quality assurance during final delivery.

You’ll be responsible for developing the right solution to enable the team to win bids and to ensure that the solution meets the need of the client.

Your work will also involve initial costing ensuring the final solution is commercially attractive and viable for the client. With subsequent support of the sales and delivery through the legal and commercial negotiation process while ensuring the in-flight quality assurance during final delivery.

Responsibilities:

Pre- Sales

  • Commercial risk review (using deal board template) and guidance
  • Agreeing contracting approach with engagement team and OGC
  • Deal economics – review and support
  • Support the Engagement Leader through the contracting process, linking with OGC, Risk and Powered governance forums.

Post-Sales

  • Major milestones – review of content (e.g. Solution Design) where high risk
  • Review of adherence to process/contract
  • Engagement financial – review
  • Coordination and completion of in-flight reviews of Powered engagements
  • Regular reporting of status of Powered engagements to UK Leader
    Building tools, templates and standards to drive consistency and efficiency.

Skills:
 

  • An experience deals architect with a track-record of working on technology enabled transformation programmes.
  • Good understanding of the commercial aspects of the sales cycle
  • Good understanding of the commercial aspects of contract negotiations and mitigating commercial risk
  • Ability to work across different groups such as legal, risk, functional teams
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders in the business including Deal Boards, Business Leaders
  • Manage a team of people to prepare reports and submissions to Deal Boards and Business Leaders
