Job Description Summary
Senior Manager, Bulk Annuities is a role to lead the pricing and trading of bulk annuity transactions. Will work closely with a number of related teams as well as providing leadership within the annuity trading and pricing team.
Our vision is to make Lloyds Banking Group the best bank for customers. As the UK's largest retail and commercial bank, we have a footprint that touches nearly every community and household in the UK. That gives us a big responsibility to support the UK economy, and to put customers at the heart of everything we do. To achieve this, we also need to be the best bank for our colleagues and our communities - and we have a clear strategy in place to make this a reality. We are building on our many strengths: iconic brands, strong heritages and great people. To unlock the great potential in our business, we are becoming more efficient, more transparent, and more responsive to customers. Already the UK's largest community investor, we are giving even more back. Above all, we are putting customers first.
The Insurance division entered the Bulk Annuity market three years ago and have successfully grown to be a key market participant. To continue our progression we are looking to hire a Senior Manager into the Pricing team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate drive, influence and an ability to cut through to the key issues.
In addition to your technical skills, you'll know how to balance commercial awareness with putting our customers first. You'll be a strong communicator with the ability to effectively summarise and present complex information whilst leading the pricing element of new Bulk Annuity transactions.
You'll be responsible for the development of pricing models, possess strong Excel, pricing software and analytical skills, with good commercial awareness & attention to detail. You'll lead the pricing element of new transactions, enable targeted pricing competitiveness through accuracy / granularity of modelling and draft papers for the pricing committee.
You'll be an Actuary (or qualified by experience) with Bulk Annuity and industry experience, able to deputise for the Head of Pricing at senior committees, and drive collaborative working across functions to refine pricing basis and modelling capability.
You'll develop deal specific solutions, working closely with Origination and Structuring, demonstrate the application of a 'deal mindset', whilst having the softer skills to engage, influence and motivate at manager / senior manager level. Strong project management and organisational skills are key, alongside the ability to deliver in high pressure environments.
To be considered for this opportunity, you should be able to evidence defined benefit expertise and an in-depth knowledge of bulk annuity propositions gained from working in the industry either at a consultancy or a provider.
Making you feel valued is important so we offer a highly competitive reward package - based on acting responsibly, and demonstrating our values and ethics. In addition to the salary range quoted this role offers an on target discretionary performance-related bonus, 4% of your salary paid to you in flex cash, 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), life assurance, private medical care, share schemes and contributory pension contributions as well as the option to use your flex cash to pick from a wide range of benefits including childcare vouchers, holiday trading, matched
learning fund, dental plan, retail vouchers and a range of discounted financial and protection products. Our culture within Insurance brings together smart, talented, people from diverse backgrounds that enjoy a collaborative and innovative environment supporting flexible and agile working. This role could be based in either our London or Edinburgh offices.
