The Role Responsibilities: Senior Manager, Business Performance Management and Analytics
(FP & A) This is a role within a small team. A collaborative approach is imperative. The role will require high degrees of flexibility and an understanding that the specific requirements will necessarily be flexible and potentially change at short notice - however, the high level R&Rs will include:
Management Business Review: Support Head of Performance Analytics and leverage analytical resource to deliver Process Management: Ensuring effective management of the monthly review processes. Interacting with senior stakeholders within and across functions to maintain integrity and effectiveness of the process. Agreeing & scheduling MBR agenda and meetings to meet corporate priorities. Manage the MBR meetings including communication of themes for the session, design of templates and coordination and distribution of MBR materials. Continually innovate to deliver insightful Group MBR presentations to succinctly highlight key themes Review and agree action points to address in future MBR sessionsLeverage Analytical (both within the direct London team and wider Singapore virtual team) resource to deliver Group MBR. Planning and Budgeting: Drive the development & delivery of Group Planning analytics, including: Forecasts, Corporate Plan, Budget for MT and Board audiences. Specific areas of focus include: Develop and deliver the overall Corporate Plan and Budget board paper story line with analytical support as appropriate Engage and leverage Plan and Analytical resource in London, Chennai, Singapore to allocate responsibilities and tasks to ensure timely delivery of analytics.A key stakeholder to the Planning team ensuring critical analytical requirements are considered and in planning objectives & timelines of key planning events (5 year Strat Plan, Budget and Forecast). Support the FP&A change agenda across a number of initiatives, driving towards a more nimble and insight driven strategic planning capability. Develop and Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Group including Businesses, Regions, Investor Relations, Strategy, Corporate Development and Treasury. Analytical Support for External Reporting: The team supports the Group CFO and Investor Relations function by providing accurate, timely and above all meaningful Analysis to support the "story" to the External market. Thought leadership to identify and develop supporting analytics, ultimately delivering presentation style material to senior management. Leverage FP&A Analytical resource in London, Chennai, Singapore to deliver meaningful Analytics Manage relationship with input providers beyond team (including Management Reporting, other FP&A functions, Treasury and Risk)Working with Head of Performance Analytics to manage relationship with Investor Relations function, Group Deputy CFO and Group CFO Address ad hoc questions from Investor Relations and Group CFO as required, to prepare them for key areas of interest from External Analysts. Team Commitment and People Development: Role model team behaviors and work closely with the broader FP&A team to deliver on team priorities. Develop critical thinking, problem solving, structuring and presentation capabilities. Mentor junior members to better understand how banking economics and commercial drivers impact the Group's Performance. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Group including Businesses, Regions, Investor Relations, Strategy, Corporate Development and Treasury. Challenge status quo and lead initiatives to deliver a more effective / efficient function. Our Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate would have post qualification experience including planning, performance analysis & corporate strategy within the financial services sector or similar experience through advisory/consultancy background. Prior product or client segment experience in banking business finance roles. Experience in managing/mentoring individuals and nurturing relationships across a complex network of stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; a strong self-starter with natural intellectual curiosity; an ability to think both strategically and analytically and apply these skills to interpret financial information from our businesses. High standard of written English, with the ability to review, summarise and communicate material accurately and succinctly.
