What you'll be doing

  • Creating plans for key projects and the team throughout the year to ensure effective use of validation resource
  • Managing analysts and senior staff to deliver against targeted plans whilst working independently to deliver validation projects
  • Reviewing technical documentation (describing model development and validation) whilst assessing adherence to the relevant regulatory environment
  • Ensuring that models are fit for purpose in accordance with company strategy and presenting validation findings to approval committees
  • Being seen as a Model Risk subject matter expert for key stakeholders (within and outside of risk)
  • Validating models across Retail and Corporate portfolios covering scorecard / rating models, IRB parameters, Stress testing and IFRS9 Provisioning

What we're looking for

  • Excellent SAS programming experience with a track record of successful delivery in a statistical analysis or modelling role
  • Proven experience of interpreting technical documentation
  • Experience of producing written reports which convey technical information in an accessible manner, targeted to specific audiences
  • Proven knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for IRB, Stress testing and IFRS9 and experience of meeting with regulators / auditors in these areas
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate and influence at senior level
  • Track record of successful people management and leadership

Please note this is a fixed term contract role for 12 months.
