The role holder reports to the Group Insurance CAO and is responsible for providing operational support for the Group Insurance COO Office, ensuring consistency and adoption of policies, processes, governance and reporting across the Insurance Business. This includes liaison with and direction of Senior & Executive Management across the company and creation of information for use at Executive Management forums
Cost analysis and management for Group Insurance and Insurance manufacturing entities, ensuring robust management of Direct and Indirect costs for Group Insurance and Insurance sites.
Relationship manager for HOST, ensuring streamlined and efficient delivery of Operational activities. Management of SLAs and quality metrics in conjunction with Operations counterparts.
Organisational Design – maintaining and continually reviewing organisational design and blueprints to ensure that the 10 Insurance manufacturing entities operate in a consistent and efficient manner.
Governance & Documentation – ensuring appropriate corporate governance is developed and implemented with robust documentation across key Group Insurance Committees and Forums
Liaising with senior management across the company and producing reports, papers and analysis for use at executive management committees and forums.
Strategy Execution – developing and implementing operational and technology strategy for the Group Insurance COO Office.
Scorecard Management for Group Insurance executives, including COO and CAO.
Educated to undergraduate or post-graduate degree level in Accountancy, Finance, Technology, Business Management or related field.
Demonstrable Insurance business knowledge
Ability to form effective business relationships at all levels of the organisation.
Communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate in the language of business.
Practical experience of major business transformation activities
Strong understanding of the Companies structures, processes and objectives across the Group
Strong knowledge of HOST – functionally, operationally and financially
Knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors etc.
High level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs
Ability to understand and interpret complex business requirements.
Ability to budget, track and control project activities and expenditure.
Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language to support problem analysis
Proven ability in working across different cultures and geographies
