Joining an existing operations team, the hire will be ‘number 2’ to the Head of Operations. The role has been created on the back of unprecedented business growth / increase in volumes. As most of the back office/operations process is outsourced, the remit generally focuses on more analytical and higher-level tasks (away from standard line work) + what other funds would class as ‘middle office’ work. You will also be tasked with ‘policing’ what the outsourced providers produce for the firm.
We are keen to hire somebody that will want to be a key player in driving change and improving processes. The hiring manager is keen to hand the individual great autonomy to work on key projects, often using their own initiative
The candidate must have 5-10yrs hedge fund operations experience. You should have a strong academic profile. You must have a strong passion for financial markets. You should ideally be entrepreneurial and have a track record of being dynamic in your current role.
The role is focused on hiring the correct candidate as opposed to limiting itself with a salary banding – you can expect to receive a 10-20% increase on current base and a bonus that could make up a very large proportion of that base salary for a star performer.
