The financial desktop environment is rapidly changing, and clients are moving off monolithic platforms and instead use multiple best-of-breed applications from separate vendors to perform their daily tasks. As a technology pioneer, FactSet strives to use innovative and clever solutions to allow clients to maintain and enable efficient workflows across all applications and drive the adoption of interoperability standards in the financial industry. The FactSet Platform team is looking for a passionate individual to join us.

This role will involve close collaboration with senior leaders in other teams at FactSet and various interest groups like FINOS to make sure everybody is moving in the same direction. On a more daily basis, you will be writing user stories and gather requirements, working with a dedicated engineering team as well as other product managers and individual salespersons on client demos and visits.


  • Maintaining a prioritized list of projects and reviewing it with the team
  • Communicating needs to Engineering through detailed specifications and interface mock-ups
  • Partnering with vendors and industry groups on FactSet’s behalf
  • Partnering with Application Design to define final interface designs
  • Working with Knowledge Management/Marketing on external documentation
  • Coordinating with the QA department in the creation of test plans
  • Testing pre-release software
  • Gathering feedback/needs/suggestions from both clients and consultants
  • Analyzing usage information for trends & areas of improvement
  • Provide first-line support for issue and question resolution

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or equivalent experience 
  • 2-5 years of experience working professionally as a product developer/manager in a relevant, high-paced industry
  • Enthusiasm, a strong sense of initiative and creativity
  • Knowledge of/strong interest in online technologies and trends
  • Outstanding project management/organizational skills – ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Commitment to the timely completion of tasks

Highly Desired:

  • Proven track record in the FinTech industry
  • Artistic ability with an attention to detail
  • Experience with open source and GitHub
  • Experience with Scrum, Kanban or Agile software development in general
  • Knowledge and understanding of FactSet’s multiple lines of business
