An exciting opportunity for a digital transformation evangelist to help shape the future of the banking industry by design and delivery of Open Banking services and online data propositions.

In the Open Banking Lab we're on a mission to demystify money and help people to manage their finances more effectively using emerging technology and innovation. Seeing your finances 'all in one app' is a good place to start. We're also exploring new ways to help people get a clearer picture of how they spend and save, with data driven insights to make their money work harder for them. We serve a base of 15m digital active customers (including 10m active app users) and are excited to be at the forefront of helping to transform the way people manage their money.

As Senior Product Owner (working in a Lab of c80 people, reporting to the Lab Product Owner) you will be pivotal to shaping innovative, new-to-market customer propositions from strategy, design and delivery through to product launch and continual optimisation of the live service.

A key part of the role will be defini Seniong how customer data, combined with API based services and the evolving regulatory environment for PSD2 and Open Banking can be used to drive customer value. You will already have familiarity with these terms and hopefully existing experience working in this area. A strong customer proposition shaper and strategic thinker with good awareness of the fintech market and an interest in technology innovation would be ideal.

Agile delivery experience would be a bonus, although the role will be initially weighted towards shaping the strategic roadmap, creating propositions and presenting proposals for senior stakeholder approval, rather than leading a feature team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high performer seeking a step-up role with a good track record of shaping digital propositions. A flexible thinker from a consultancy, product development, solution design or innovation background would be a good fit.

Our ideal candidate will:

§ Be comfortable operating in an environment of ambiguity who would thrive on the challenge of shaping customer propositions from scratch.

§ Enjoy problem solving and take a data-driven approach to proposition development, understanding the trade-offs between customer value and solution complexity.

§ Be confident leading a matrix team of architects, data scientists, risk SMEs and business stakeholders from across the organization to understand the feasibility of new products and services.

§ Be a motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to produce content for review by C-level Executives and Group committees.

§ Be a good influencer, able to mobilise cross-functional teams and stakeholders behind a shared business vision.

§ Have good commercial awareness with the ability to identify, size and explain business opportunity to stakeholders.

§ Understand complex Financial Services products within the scope of an emerging regulatory framework, with familiarity of PSD2 and Open Banking.

§ Be familiar with Agile 'scrum based' digital delivery practices.
