We are currently recruiting for a Senior Risk Analyst please see list of duties below.


• Monitor and maintain and parameterised various risk models used by the Clearing Risk Department, such as Margin models (SPAN, VaR), Stress testing, Intraday Risk etc;
• Contribute to internal ad-hoc requests for development and solutions in time-critical situations;
• Creating and maintaining different documentation such as model documentation, technical or procedure documents;
• Assist in the development of risk processes and risk reports for members, regulators, risk committees and boards;
• Contribute to external ad hoc request regarding quantitative analysis and methodologies in a timely fashion;
• Conducting in depth, granular review, validation and proposal of the different risk model;
• Defining business requirements and clear specifications for model development, upgrades and enhancements;
• Daily assessments of market risk exposures to Clearing Member firms;
• Development of margin methodologies to collateralise new contracts across different asset classes;
• Interactions with the Financial, Operations and IT departments in the Clearing House and the Exchanges.


• Degree in engineering, science or maths related subject or equivalent experience;
• Master’s degree in financial engineering, mathematical finance or similar is desirable;
• Substantial experience involved in a market risk management or related area in a bank or clearinghouse;
• Must demonstrated quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills with solid knowledge of statistics, particularly time series analysis;
• Must demonstrate solid knowledge of SQL and database structure and experience in developing robust process involving SQL;
• The successful candidate should be a team player, capable of working under pressure within a diverse team, operating in several time zones to tight deadlines;
• Strong expertise in database and SQL language as well as Excel and Access;
• Experience in risk management of derivatives contracts;
• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and be able to articulate complex concepts to internal/external audience;
• Knowledge of SQL or other programming language is desirable;
• Proven record applying or implementing risk processes using various technologies is desirable;
• Proven record documenting risk methodologies/models is desirable.
