Senior Sales Executive, Oil Price Information Service (OPIS)
About Us

Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) has an opening for a Senior Sales Executive, in our corporate headquarters in London, UK . This position will focus on expanding the OPIS footprint across the EMEA region through consulting with new and existing customers. OPIS is considered a "benchmark" for downstream fuel purchases, so this position is expected to leverage the brand recognition and the prestige associated with the OPIS name to sell OPIS products and services.

Your Role

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales goals, and someone that is driven by financial success. OPIS is an award-winning publishing company offering news and market information on the petroleum industry with pricing reports, newsletters and directories (both electronic and print).

This position offers substantial opportunity for growth and the support to succeed. In addition, this position requires someone who is a.) strongly motivated by financial reward b.) self starter c.) interested in one of the most dynamic and growing commodities markets , and c). representing the products of what is widely regarded as one of the pre-eminent provider of fuel price discovery to the downstream oil industry. This position is responsible for achieving sales quotas for all assigned OPIS products and services. Candidate will be paid a base salary and earn commission for achieving sales goals.

General Job Duties:
  • Achieve specific monthly, quarterly and annual sales quota
  • Exceed metrics assigned for cold and warm calling activities
  • Develop relationships with assigned customers to ensure long term partnerships
  • Maintain existing client base as well as up-sells to existing customers
  • Generate forecasts of sales performance as required
  • Work closely with senior sales rep to develop strategies
  • Develop knowledge of OPIS Markit products and capabilities
  • Work with senior management in implementing product and market expansion in the EMEA region


About You

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years B2B sales experience or in related energy segment , preferably in the petrochemical or energy industry
  • Experience and /or knowledge with Price Reporting Agency (PRA) products and services.
  • Extensive proven track record in telephone sales/customer care
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and utilize CRM systems
  • English (verbal and written) proficiency required
  • Additional European language's preferred
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word
