Senior Software Engineer - London
Construction tech company with offices in London are using AI and computer vision to not only improve productivity of construction projects but to revolutionise the landscape of the construction industry as a whole.

Role

Senior full stack engineer needed for the London office, where you'll be working with all London-based clients to translate their needs into new software tools. You'll work alongside computer vision scientists to turn algorithms into production quality software to be used in billion-pound projects.

As a full-stack engineer you'll have lots of responsibilities in a highly varied role: from using Python to design distributed computing pipelines, to configuring and deploying the AWS-based stack, to developing web apps with vue.js or node.js.

As one of the first engineers on site you'll also shape the culture of the growing team of future engineers.

Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and make important decisions with minimal supervision
  • Strong product mind with the ability to build pragmatic solutions that provide user value
  • Computer vision is something that excites you and you want to take it from the lab and put it into real-life problems
  • You have experience with the following: data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks
  • You're from a strong engineering background. i.e. Comp Sci, Maths, Software Engineering or Physics

Desirable
  • You have experience in AWS stacks
  • You can code in Python, and have used TensorFlow and pyTorch
  • You're familiar with front-end frameworks, such as Javascript
  • Experience in a start-up

Benefits
  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Bi-annual company wide hack week - a week off work where you can work on whatever you like and present it to the company
  • Ability to train and develop yourself as the company develops itself, e.g. if you're interested in AI and computer vision and want to learn more, the company will sponsor you for an online nanodegree
