Global LNG and Gas Trading business is now seeking an experienced Settlements Analyst to join their Middle Office team in London.

Global LNG and Gas Trading business is now seeking an experienced Settlements Analyst to join their Middle Office team in London. The role has a strong financial focus and involves invoice management, cash and collection management of physical and financial trading activities for LNG and Gas.

 The key Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Invoice creation, distribution, reconciliation, checkout and settlement of physical, and financial trading activities for London Coal, London LNG and US Coal (Accounts Payable/Receivable)
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve invoice reconciliation discrepancies proactively and timely
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely collection of cash and aging reporting
  • Work with operations team to clear overdue Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable items and non-allocated cash
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements around settlements processes
  • Ensure compliance with trading standards and other regulatory requirements
  • Ensure correct tax treatment of invoices
  • Other tasks and projects assigned by Senior Settlements Analyst and Settlements Manager

 To be considered for this role you should ideally have:

Recognised Professional Qualification in Accounting

  • At least 2 years of settlements working experience preferably in the LNG and Gas Markets
  • Strong spreadsheet skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, strong self-initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under time pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and attention to details
  • Strong team player and collaborate with other Finance team members to support overall Finance goals and objectives
  • Robust personality with high levels of energy and drive
  • Self-motivated, with an ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic corporate environment
  • Adaptable and commercially minded team player with a collegial personality
  • Professional ethics and high level of integrity
  • Good analytical and drafting skills
  • Organized and committed to deadlines
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience, with keen ability to evaluate all legal implications with a focus on solutions and results
