Redstone Commodity Search are working with an American Investment Management Group who focus on the Energy markets looking to hire a European Power Trader to join the commercial team in Europe.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Responsible for trading short term power across European markets
- Manage business development and grow the portfolio by acquiring new clients in the European power markets
- Optimise portfolio through monitoring and forecasting short term power prices across European markets and perform market analysis to identify opportunities in the market
- Successful candidate is responsible for their own PnL
- Reports into the Head of Trading
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in trading short term power across the UK and / or continental Europe
- Background and relevant degree in Mathematics, Science or Technology
- Proven track record of generating positive and consistent PnL
- A network within the relevant markets that is transferable
- Role to be based in Europe (remote work optional)
