Software Engineer - Credit Tech DevOps

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that applications meet the security, stability and standards framework defined within the firm.
  • Work closely with Technology Control Officer (TCO) for maintaining accurate documentation for applications
  • Expertise in high quality documentation and data organization.
  • Work across various AD teams to understand application architecture and dependencies
  • Work with Cyber Review team to identify and remediate breaks in applications
  • Work with internal teams to co-ordinate various audits and tests (penetration testing)
  • Maintain documentation wrt internal and external audit requirements for the applications
  • Perform periodic risk assessments and certifications for the applications
  • Understand application architecture and current state and identify risk ratings for the applications
  • Understand the firm's standard build and deploy tools and make sure applications are compliant with the same

Technical Skills
  • Strong analytical skills, good understanding of computer science fundamentals and basic awareness of real-time, high performance and/or eTrading areas.
  • Proven experience in high quality documentation and data organization
  • Basic understanding of networks, firewalls and cyber security
  • Creative, analytical, quick-thinking, pragmatic, with an aptitude for solving problems with collaboration with multiple teams
  • Proficiency in WORD, Excel (Macros) and Power Point.
  • Proven organisational skills, decisive priority management, strong teamwork ethic, excellent verbal & written communication skills.


  • The ideal candidate will likely be qualified to degree level in Computer Science, Maths or related engineering discipline
  • Strong SDLC background - awareness of types of applications used in high performance e-Trading environments.
