The Analytics Reporting & APIs team is looking for a Software Engineer to help develop a range of products in the Vermilion Reporting Suite including the WRS rendering engine and the V:Pitch slide management solution. The Vermilion Reporting Suite is a powerful reporting tool at the end of the analytics pipeline aiding FactSet in providing a complete solution to clients.

The Analytics Reporting & APIs team is looking for a Software Engineer to help develop a range of products in the Vermilion Reporting Suite including the WRS rendering engine and the V:Pitch slide management solution. The Vermilion Reporting Suite is a powerful reporting tool at the end of the analytics pipeline aiding FactSet in providing a complete solution to clients.

V:Pitch is the newest member of the product suite and is a WPF based PowerPoint plugin that empowers users to quickly build presentations that incorporate compliance approved data and conform to corporate branding. WRS is the core report rendering engine that powers Vermilion, working across Office and other output formats.

The team behind these components is an agile, growing team working with the latest technologies in C# to build modern, quick graphical interfaces, and scalable, reliable backend services. As well as V:Pitch and WRS the team will be expanding its portfolio of products to include other Office integrations over the coming years.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with other Vermilion engineers to enhance the V:Pitch plugin
  • Adding new rendering functionality to WRS
  • Diagnosing and resolving output issues with reports
  • Continually improving the performance and reliability of our software
  • Collaborating with our support teams to assist clients

Job Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience as an engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience with C#
  • Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Desired Attributes:

  • Familiarity with Analytics or Reporting
  • Experience with WPF and MVVM architecture
  • Experience with network architecture and diagnostics
  • Experience building Office Plugins or Office Automation
  • Experience working with complex multithreaded services
