Citi's Global Spread Products (GSP) Business is part of the greater Global Markets and Securities Services division of Citi's Institutional Clients Group. The Spread Products business is a global business with a presence in eleven countries across North and Latin America, Europe, Asia and Japan primarily focusing on corporate, municipal, and asset backed bonds, loans and credit default swaps, as well as structured products and financings. Global Spread Products has three major business lines: Global Credit Markets (GCM), Global Securitized Markets (GSM) and Municipal Securities (MSD). Global Credit Markets is responsible for secondary market trading in all Credit products.

The Spread Products Solutions (SPS) team works directly with all trading desks across GSP providing structuring capabilities and evaluating and implementing emerging opportunities.  These solutions include structured issuance and financing, retail structured products, securitizations, derivatives and new product development. 

The SPS team is looking to add a Vice President focused on structuring.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the structuring, closing and on-going monitoring of various structured products transactions
• Partner with other GSP trading and structuring desks to develop and implement solutions
• Prepare term sheets, deal summaries and presentations
• Review of terms of legal documentation of structured transactions, with the assistance of internal and external counsel
• Present and explain proposed structured products to senior managers and internal approval committees
• Coordinate internal approvals with control functions in Citi, including: Treasury, Risk, Accounting Policy, Regulatory Capital, Financial Control, Tax, Legal, Compliance and others
• Work with junior SPS colleagues on the development of models and marketing materials for structured products

Qualifications


• Individual must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
• Series 7 and 63 are required  [NEED Licensing for London]
• Candidate is required to have a BA/BS with a minimum of 5 years of experience in structuring (structured credit experience preferred)
• Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and strong quantitative skills are required
• Transaction-related experience preferred
• Must be a team player; must be able to contribute and foster ideas within the team
