My client, a top tier investment bank is looking for 2 permanent VP Level Stress Testing Execution Manager, one for Traded Risk and one for Wholesale Credit Risk.

Responsibilities:

  • The execution of Traded Risk or Wholesale Credit Risk stress testing including, but not limited to, scenario development, market risk, Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR), FVOCI, securitisation and syndicated loans.
  • The global operating model to conduct Traded Risk stress tests, including working with teams across the bank to ensure the overall Traded Risk stress testing operating model and processes are fit for purpose and streamlined.
  • The delivery of the Traded Risk aspects of ICAAP.
  • Planning and coordination of the end-to-end stress testing processes of Traded Risk or Wholesale Credit Risk Stress Testing.
  • Representing Traded Risk or Wholesale Credit Risk Stress Testing on relevant IT projects and forums.
  • Making prioritisation calls across Stress Test streams where there is delivery or resource contention.
  • Manage the delivery of the Traded Risk components of Global regulatory exercises.
  • Chairing the Traded Risk Stress Testing Operating Committee, Expert Panel and execution calls.
  • Representing Traded Risk or Wholesale Credit Risk stress testing at meetings with senior stakeholders across the group.
  • Leading a team with three onshore and one offshore direct reports.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Traded Risk or Wholesale Credit Risk or IFRS9
  • Previous experience / involvement in regulatory stress testing is a plus
  • Good knowledge of wholesale credit business and wholesale credit products
  • Financial Services experience
  • Business analysis
  • Budgetary planning a plus
  • Ability to lead complicated projects across regions
  • Experience of leading global change projects including IT / systems changes and deployments
  • MS Projects / Powerpoint / Excel / Sharepoint
  • Knowledge of Wholesale Credit Risk or Traded Risk products and concepts including FVOCI and securitisation preferred
  • Knowledge of process efficiency tools such as 6 sigma or waterfall a plus
  • Previous use of Clarity a plus
  • At least degree level in a relevant numerical subject
  • Ability to lead a small team across multiple locations
  • Ability to analyse problems and devise appropriate solutions
  • Open personality with effective communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and liaison skills that demonstrate the ability to foster trust and cooperation of others
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience of managing global projects
