System Engineer

You'd be joining the worlds most successful hedge fund in the high frequency trading arm of the business. You'd be working with the smartest engineers to support and maintain their trading systems. We're primarily looking for someone who has strong experience in multiple areas: Linux, Networks, Scripting (bash, shell, python) and Support.
- Deep understanding of Linux engineering and administration methods
- Familiar with tuning OS and kernel parameters for improved performance (latency, throughput)
- Infrastructure provisioning/management tools (e.g. Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Puppet)
- Understanding and experience in time synchronization setups
- Familiarity and comfort working with common scripting languages such as Python
- Broad experience with common infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Kerberos, etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of data protection schemes, how they are commonly deployed, and how they fail: erasure coding, replication, RAID, snapshots, etc.
