The Harrington Starr Data & Technology are currently working with a leading Investment Management firm who are actively looking to hire a Systems Analyst to work closely with their Development and Business Analysis teams on a critical hire for their Technology team.

In this role as a Systems Analyst you will sit between the Development Team and the Business Team, but you will primarily be supporting the Solutions Architect whose role is to ensure the Development team understand the Technical Specifications, while also supporting the Business Analysis team of the capability to delivery on said requirements.

In this role you will be responsible for systems testing, technical specifications, creating live environments to ensure quality control and code control of software releases. You will also need a solid understand of Investment Management, so that you are able to translate requirements from the BAs into specifications the technical teams can deliver.

You will need a solid understanding of the Microsoft Technology stack in particular SSIS and SSRS and ideally come from a development background with a solid understanding of Relational databases.

This role is integral to the business and is seen as an important hire. The prospects to grow, learn and develop are endless, as well as the opportunity to be visible internally in a role which will be part of a small team of 2.

The successful candidate must have the following skills:

  • Experience working within Investment Management, Asset Management and/or Wealth Management so that you are able to understand business terminologies
  • Design and development experience on Microsoft Database Products in particular SQL Server as well as SSIS, SSRS
  • Development Background ideally in C# and/or .Net
  • Knowledge of Testing, software releases and Quality Control
  • Knowledge of GIT and/or TFS for code control
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
