An established Hedge Fund are looking to bring in a Tax Manager to support on advisory, compliance and reporting.

As a Tax Manager, you will have the opportunity to join a well-known hedge fund, supporting on various advisory matters as well as offering an oversight of the compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the team with tax projects, tax planning, transactional and advisory matters.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the group, investment structures, management activities and key tax processes of the group.
  • Support on the tax review of investments and divestments made.
  • Assist the team with the tax review of internal projects and transactions.
  • Manage the tax compliance processes including partnership tax, corporate tax, VAT, FATCA, CRS and DAC6 in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate effectively with the other Finance teams, as well as administrators and outsourced tax advisors on all tax related matters.
  • Control the budget for outsourced tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Responsible for tax reporting to investors, predominantly covering the UK and US.
  • Accountable for the oversight of US withholding tax packages in addition to overseeing the review and validation of FATCA and CRS documentation obtained from investors.
  • Engage with colleagues on the preparation and review of tax provisions in financial statements, including answering auditor queries.
  • Develop relationships with HMRC, IRS, IRAS and any other tax authorities.
  • Provide input to the development of systems and processes to allow taxation information to be available when required.
  • Manage the workflow and review the daily tasks of the junior colleagues as well as providing mentoring support.
  • Keep up-to-date with all tax developments relevant to the business.
  • Build relationships with the wider teams of the Group to ensure positive, open communication lines.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Educated to degree level
  • A professional accounting or tax qualification
  • Financial services industry knowledge desired
  • International tax experience useful
