The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the EMEA Head of IT. The job holder requires strong capabilities in the use of Microsoft Office software. They will need excellent organisational skills and good time management.
The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the EMEA Head of IT. The job holder requires strong capabilities in the use of Microsoft Office software. They will need excellent organisational skills and good time management. As the EMEA Head of IT has a geographically diverse team, the job holder will need the ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone and in writing with a diverse group of stakeholders based in Europe, the US and India. There is no requirement to have specific knowledge of the operation of an IT department, but the willingness to develop a working understanding of the core concepts is important as the job holder will be preparing, collating and proof reading meeting materials. Over time as the job holder develops knowledge of the CTI business and the IT department, they will have the opportunity to take a larger role in creating materials for use with clients, regulators and senior internal stakeholders. Attention to detail is important in this role as is the ability to work to deadlines. Role Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the EMEA Head of IT and from time-to-time to the Head of IT Operations and Director of Middle Office IT. Organise meetings including preparing the agenda and supporting materials Coordinate work with the team assistants to ensure efficient calendaring of internal meetings and activities Occasionally organise business related team events, training and activities Assemble and proof read presentation materials for workshops, committees, meetings with clients, etc. Work with the US based assistants in the Global IT team to coordinate meetings and activities Monitor and report on completion of tasks and activities as requested Provide cover for the IT team assistant during vacations and unplanned absence Key Capabilities: Confident with using technology (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Ability to work as part of a geographically dispersed team Ability to think strategically Able to work to a demanding schedule Self-starter able to work without close supervision Strong attention to detail Able to work with individuals at all levels within the organisation Good oral and written communication skills Desirable Capabilities: Some understanding of financial services in general would be desirable
