Technical Project Manager - UBS

Your role

Managing all aspects of a project, this includes project planning, execution, cost and early identification of potential issues

Providing the stakeholders with transparent, accurate and regular status reports of project deliverables

Managing the staff of a Project delivery team directly or as part of a matrix organization, ensuring efficient use of resources

Embed Risk Awareness by designing and operating an effective control environment, proactively identifying and raising control deficiencies and driving diligent and sustainable risk remediation.

Key Deliverables

Reporting on planning, controlling and reports tasks within the project

Project Change Management

Delivery of project on time, within budget

Reporting to stakeholders with transparent, accurate and regular information regarding the status of committed project deliveries

Your team

You’ll be working in the Tech Services Migration team in the UK. The Migration team provide large scale application remediation; infrastructure provisioning and migration; line of business planning and scheduling services to achieve modernization, adoption and end of life (EOL) remediation of the banks technology estate at scale

Your experience and skills:

Experience of delivering complex infrastructure and application migrations and decommissions;

A deep and practical understanding of:

Datacentre architecture

Network devices and architectures (switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls and load balancers)

VMware infrastructure architectures (both physical and virtual)

Complex data analysis, ETL and reporting upon data using SQL, Excel and Tableau

Excellent project management, team lead, communication and conflict resolution abilities, able to bring together a global team and negotiate with application owners to effectively deliver global change

The ability to work on a set of pre-agreed weekends to execute migrations outside business hours

Previous scripting experience (e.g. in Python) will be beneficial;
