We are seeking 3 individuals to be part of the full time Technology Associate Programme in the Information Technology department, based in London. As a Technology Associate, you will develop the foundation to build a successful career in financial technology. Working as part of a dynamic team focused on delivering innovative solutions to business problems, successful candidates will gain in-depth understanding of the investment management industry and the technology that drives portfolio management, portfolio analysis, trading, and client engagement.
The 3 individuals will specialise in either of the areas below:
Fixed Income Investor Application & Solution Development
The Portfolio Construction and Fixed Income Investor development teams develop both core applications used for portfolio management and order generation, as well as lightweight agile solutions that help our Investors generate higher investment returns for our clients. Successful applicants will work closely with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, Risk Managers, Data Scientists and IT colleagues globally.
The successful candidate will:
•Over time use a number of development tools including: GIT, Jenkins, SourceTree, Eclipse, Visual Studio, PL/SQL.
Portfolio Services Support Team
Portfolio Services provides investment teams with the data, controls and support they need to ensure that their investment intent is accurately reflected in portfolios in accordance with client, regulatory and operational requirements.
The successful candidate will:
•Manage production incidents, determining root cause, appropriate corrective actions, and follow-up.
•Provide analysis and answer functional and technical questions from business partners and technologists.
•Proactively identify issues and opportunities to improve support processes.
•Work with development teams to capture, socialise, and implement new system designs and enhancements.
The successful candidates are likely to have:
•Or be studying towards a Bachelor's degree ideally with a concentration in technology or finance.
•A consistent track record of academic and extra-curricular achievement.
•The ability to be a self-starter and have the humility and willingness to learn from, and collaborate with, their colleagues.
•Outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills, be resourceful, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic.
•The ability to work independently, in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, where priorities change frequently.
