The Role
This is a temporary role within the Data Content team in London. The work and output of a successful candidate will support analytical research across the firm. A successful candidate must understand the technical processes, default & recovery data definitions, data governance rules and the source documentation supporting the data. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities

  • Maintain European default & recovery dataset to support ratings performance studies and regulatory reporting.
  • Provide publication support for default and recovery research studies which includes excel charts and tables.
  • Understand and follow data governance principles focusing on accuracy, completeness and timeliness. Support production and publication of metrics.
  • Collaborate with the technical, data assurance and data content management teams in Mumbai and New York to answer data inquiries, implement technical enhancements and resolve technical defects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Economics, Business or related field
  • Track record of experience with European Corporate Fixed Income Data or recent graduate with relevant academic experience and internship
  • Firm understanding of capital markets and financial statements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with large datasets
  • Ability to use database editors such as TOAD
  • Must have MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) in particular Excel charts and graphs
