Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financière Tradition and one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. CFT is represented in over 28 countries, employing over 2,500 people.

Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Trading Operations Analyst to be based within the London office.

Main responsibilities within the Trading Operations Analyst position:

Working as part of the Trading Operations function responsible for providing 1st and 2nd level support for a large portfolio of trading systems, a Trading Operations Analyst is required to join the team in London. The role would suit someone with 3 to 4 years’ experience in a similar role who is looking for a new opportunity to develop their skills in a challenging and dynamic environment trading environment. Primary responsibilities include:

Operational support to order management, trade booking, affirmation, confirmation, reporting, clearing and settlement processes
Operational support for Regulatory Reporting (Transaction Reporting, Pre & Post Trade Transparency, Commodity Position Reporting, SFTR, SEF etc) 
Application monitoring for all key systems used by Rates, Credit, FX and Market Data Sales desks
Perform testing with internal and external clients
Man support desk between allocated hours
Attend and fix any 1st and 2nd line application software problems
Work with project team and 3rd line support when required
Investigate long term issues and report findings to relevant parties
Supplier and client relations
Controls (policy/process/procedures) associated with above
Any other duties that may reasonably be requested

Key skills and experience required in this role:

Good knowledge Financial Products (Rates, FX and Fixed Income)
Good knowledge of Front Office Systems and workflows for Financial Products (Rates, FX and Fixed Income)
Knowledge and Awareness of Post trade systems and workflows used by above product areas (e.g. Markitwire/RTNS/VCON/ICELink/IDT/Traiana etc)
Good knowledge of SQL
Good knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating systems.
Good knowledge of  Windows networking and TCP/IP
Good knowledge of FIX protocol
Good knowledge of  WAN/LAN technologies
Awareness of how Java or C++ works
IT qualifications (degree level, preferably Microsoft/Cisco/Linux qualified)
3 to 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
Understanding and exposure to electronic trading platforms
Understanding and exposure to OTC financial markets technology
Experience of direct trading floor support
