Do you want to be part of a talented global team? Are you instinctively entrepreneurial and ambitious in nature? If you're determined to succeed, we can help you reach your potential.

Macquarie Asset Management Real Estate is a global investor and manager of real estate assets. The team consists of approximately 230 high performing and motivated employees across circa 20 cities globally. The business manages +US$25 billion of assets, across two distinct investment strategies - core / core plus; and opportunistic. While we always take a pragmatic approach to investing, we are currently focused on sectors that we believe are supported by structural tailwinds (including logistics/industrial, office and data centres).

With a portfolio in excess of €460mn across London, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Dublin, and a significant amount of equity dedicated specifically to the region through several mandates and pan-European funds, we are seeking an emerging leader in the real estate sector to become the lead transaction officer for the Real Estate Core / Core plus business in the United Kingdom & Ireland.

As Transaction Manager, you will be the MAM Real Estate Core / Core+ representative in the market, leading growth in the region by sourcing and executing on opportunities to significantly grow assets under management across various asset classes such as offices and logistics. You will be collaborating and contributing as part of the broader Western European Real Estate team to engage the market to source, lead and sponsor attractive investment opportunities through the transaction processes including, sourcing, underwriting, business planning, structuring, and drafting investment committee approvals. You will take the lead on all due diligence matters, documentation, debt financing, and commercial negotiations, whilst maintaining an active network of external partners and providing market updates to internal stakeholders and external investors.

You will have the opportunity to work across borders on pan European portfolios on an ad hoc basis and contribute to hold / sell analyses for existing assets and managing asset divestment processes

To be successful in this role, you will have 5-7 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally gained within a developer, brokerage, or consulting firm. You will be adept at driving consistent and high-quality operational standards and foster best practices in acquiring or disposing assets with input and direction of the investment performance team. You will have a solid understanding of the full transaction lifecycle across a variety of Real Estate asset classes (including Offices) and be able to represent Macquarie Asset Management with key intermediaries, investors, competitors, and external partners as a thought leader in the industry whilst ensuring highest ethical standards in all our dealings.
