About this role

As head of the Product Marketing team, the successful candidate will need to execute a marketing strategy with the explicit goal of creating the content needed to accelerate active fund growth in EMEA. To realize this ambition, they will need to redefine product collateral in the financial industry by creating a significantly improved client experience to further differentiate BlackRock from our peers. The role will require significant collaboration with stakeholders across EMEA and within the wider Marketing organization. It will also demand an unwavering focus on, and understanding of, BlackRock's clients, it's sales process, and how to deliver maximum value through content.

This role has taken prominence in the region by being responsible for delivering the collateral needed to achieve BlackRock's sustainability ambitions and would suit someone who wants to have a tangible impact on driving the reallocation of capital towards more sustainable investments.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Execute an audience-led marketing strategy that is focussed on supporting asset growth
  • Redefine, create, and deliver a suite of multi-channel marketing collateral that BlackRock is proud to deliver to its clients, and that embodies the new visual identity of the firm
  • Take a leadership role in creating the content needed to achieve BlackRock's sustainability ambitions and grow its alternatives business
  • Create an engaging and rewarding after sales experience for our clients through content
  • Form a close partnership with the Product Strategy and Sales teams and ensure strong alignment with how the Product Marketing team allocates its resource
  • Develop a framework to review and measure the impact and effectiveness of collateral on the sales process to enable continuous optimization of the Product Marketing Strategy
  • Manage a growing team of product marketing specialists, ensuring continued alignment to the marketing and product strategy of BlackRock
  • Work with colleagues in the wider Marketing organization to ensure efficient execution and local distribution of the team's output
  • Be an active member of the wider Marketing team, developing an understanding of the overall marketing strategy and support its evolution.


Skills & Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in working in marketing within financial services, preferably in asset management, banking or wealth management
  • The role would benefit someone with experience in either a product or creative role where a strong understanding of the client was crucial to success
  • Creative vision and the confidence to challenge how things are done to ensure continuous optimization of the team's value creation
  • Experience of managing and leading a team to execute a strategy to successful outcomes
  • Ability to maintain team focus on the daily execution of tasks, in this case content creation to support the sales of BlackRock active funds
  • Excellent project management skills, including an ability to move projects forward in a complex environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Degree or professional education certificate required
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where deliverables may change as the strategy evolves
  • Genuine interest and understanding of financial markets and the financial services industry.
