The Business
We're hiring into our Structured Finance business in London at Vice President or Director level

  • This is an opportunity for an analytically minded professional with knowledge of technology, media and telecoms corporate finance and credit analysis to join Our Structured Finance Corporate Sector Advisory business
  • Working alongside the head of Technology, Media and Telecom, you'll be exposed to a wide range of client relationships across sub-sectors, giving you scope to build your internal and external franchise with clients
  • You'll play a critical role in ensuring that we remain strategically engaged with our clients, and that we proactively anticipate and address issues and opportunities that may affect their business
  • This role is available at Vice President level, though we will also consider offering it at Director level

What you'll do

You'll be applying your corporate finance or credit expertise across the technology, media and telecoms sector, developing the strategic dialogue to originate financing business with key clients. Drawing on your expert sector knowledge, you'll anticipate the next moves of the industry or client, ensuring an appropriate level of strategic engagement with senior client executives.

Key aspects of your role will include:
  • Interacting regularly with clients, creating and delivering compelling pitches with sector corporate finance, capital structure and debt structuring content
  • Developing close client relationships while simultaneously driving collaboration with teams such as Ratings Advisory, Risk Advisory, Coverage, and Credit Risk, as well as Natwest Markets and Leveraged Finance teams
  • Supporting the team head in client situations, developing your expertise in relation to specific sectors, corporate finance techniques, credit ratings analysis and capital structure optimisation
  • Proactively managing risks in your area, making sure the control environment is effective and that the correct controls are in place

You'll earn the confidence of your customers with clear expertise in your field and astute advice communicated well. You'll be an accomplished networker committed to sharing knowledge, and will use critical thinking skills to cut through complexity, and make sound decisions and recommendations.

The skills you'll need

We're looking for a team player with excellent analytical abilities, and knowledge of the technology, media and telecoms sector, financial modelling and credit analysis.

You'll have financing, debt or ratings advisory, equity analysis, or corporate finance experience in an investment banking environment or at a firm in the technology, media and telecoms sector. You'll also need to have an understanding of investment or commercial banking organizational design and the ability to navigate large organizations to achieve client delivery. A CFA qualification, while not essential, would be welcome.
