The xVA desk is looking to hire an experienced Credit Analyst to join its trading team. The business is responsible for pricing and risk managing counterparty, funding and collateral risks for Morgan Stanley’s Global OTC derivatives platform.The desk coverage includes Rates, FX, Credit and Commodities OTC derivatives.
The principal responsibilities of the role include the evaluation of new OTC exposure as well as the monitoring of the existing portfolio. Fulfillment of these responsibilities involves:
Independently assessing the credit quality of proposed transactions.
Leveraging internal and external credit resources: Credit Department, Internal Desk Credit Analysts, Sell Side Credit Analysts, Legal Department, External Counsel, etc.
Monitoring our existing portfolio with a focus on large exposures, distressed credit, wrong-way risks, and concentration risks.
Participating in the design of risk scenarios for use by the desk
Position location can be either London or NY
Extensive experience in credit analysis in either a desk credit analyst role or in a credit department (distressed experience preferred).
Understanding of OTC derivatives products.
Strong credit, analytical and modeling skills.
Strong team player able to work effectively in a team environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a relevant field.
