My client, a specialist lending and retail savings group, is looking to recruit a Regulatory Training Specialist to design, develop and implement regulatory training and associated activities which align to legal and regulatory governance throughout the company and all subsidiaries, which contribute directly to:

* Legal compliance with (HSE) Health Safety Executive requirements.

The role will require occasional travel to the London office and subsidiary organisations, which are based in the South East of England. Occasional travel to India may also be required.

Responsibilities:

* Coordinate the design and delivery of ongoing L&D activities required to drive awareness of the requirements of the Senior Managers Regime and the associated Code of Conduct (COCON) rules to all relevant populations (SMF's, Certified & other staff)
* Design a robust regulatory competence training schedule for UK based employees to meet current and ongoing legal and regulatory governance requirements.
* Design and develop regulatory competence training content, training manuals, multimedia visual aids, training activities and other educational materials to meet changing business requirements.
* Partner with Subject Matter Experts to proactively undertake compliance and regulatory competence Training Needs Analysis aligned to the Group TNA framework.
* Establish and coordinate the implementation where applicable additional 'relevant to role' L&D activities that support mandatory monthly on-line compliance modules.
* Partner with stakeholders from across the Group to support the ongoing commitment to programmes which enable the mobilisation of a competent workforce and ongoing maintenance of competence thereafter.
* Proactively contribute within Steering Groups established to ensure the design and ongoing implementation of appropriate governance schemes, relating to T&C (Training & Competence), SMR (Senior Managers Regime), COCON (Code of Conduct) and EMCD (European, Mortgage, Credit Directive).
* Analyse effectiveness of all training workshops and programmes post implementation including knowledge transfer tests and delegate feedback.
* Manage robust version control of all regulatory training content, including achieving, documenting and storing appropriate subject matter expert sign off.
* Manage all requests for external compliance and regulatory training including learning solutions provided in house but undertaken by external law firms, training providers
* Plan and contribute to a variety of blended learning activities, including classroom training, meetings, conferences and workshops.
* Producing and utilising innovative learning material that raises motivation and self-esteem ensuring all learning styles are supported.
* Communicating the corporate brand, vision and strategy through all training communications and workshop delivery to drive a consistent culture of excellence.
* Maintain the company's compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations.

Required Skills & Experience:

* 48m previous experience working within the financial services industry is essential.
* 24m previous experience in the design and delivery of a wide range of workshops relating to FCA regulations is essential.
* 12m previous experience in the delivery of L&D activities relating to the Senior Managers Regime and COCON is essential.
* 24m previous experience in the delivery of L&D activities relating to a Group approved Training & Competence Scheme is highly desirable.
* Specialist knowledge of the L&D requirements from a regulatory perspective is essential.
* Specialist knowledge of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime and the COCON rules is essential.
* Robust knowledge of the FCA's T&C Handbook is essential.
* Robust knowledge of best practice techniques to undertake effective TNA's (Training Needs Analysis) is essential.
* Specialist knowledge of the best practice techniques required to design and deliver inspiring, engaging and effective workshops or briefings to senior employees is essential.
* Specialist knowledge of the Training Cycle is essential.
* GSCE/GCE qualifications in both maths and English are essential.
* Level 3 CIPD/ MCIPD qualification is desirable.
* Coaching certification, qualifications are highly desired.
