PwC is investing in the development of intelligent automation capabilities to support one of the largest growth areas for our technology risk team. Our Centre for Applied Intelligent Automation is the UK competency centre for the development of enterprise solutions utilising emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, Blockchain and the Internet of Things. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with a creative team in an innovative digital environment, helping PwC to be the leading technology enabled professional services firm and deliver exception value for our clients.
Hands-on Solution Architects with practical experience and recognised qualifications in RPA technologies (UIPath preferred but others welcome). Having experience of multiple automation implementations (Bots) across a complex enterprise portfolio. Strong practical development experience in an Agile framework, delivering enterprise projects spanning geographies and technologies with a data/MI focus. Curious mindset, self-driven and an aptitude for learning and failing-fast to deliver and improve.
The Role and its expectations
-Lead the RPA technical teams, primarily Developers, and foster open strong relationships with multi-skilled technical teams across the PwC network of firms.
-Own the Solution Design and Delivery using industry standard frameworks with a focus on championing security and quality, including coaching the team for career development.
-Embed a continuous improvement mindset - Peer reviews, code quality and managing efficiencies to deliver from inception to implementation including operational considerations.
-Create, monitor, report on and improve the design and development service through the use of service metrics to achieve and maintain efficiencies and quality deliverables.
-Create and manage the optimisation and reuse of code/automations (Robots) where possible and share with the wider PwC organisation as appropriate.
-Develop requirement specifications and user acceptance testing strategies for identified robotics solutions alongside a Business Analyst
-Support the Business Analyst in reviewing risks in the analysis and scoring of process criteria.(Supporting the business case for solutions)
-Delivering implementable solutions that are secure, scalable and meet or exceed functional and non-functional requirements. (Operations focus)
-Advise, configure, size and provision RPA infrastructure to meet functional and non-functional requirements through internal PwC infrastructure teams.
-Deliver solutions that meet credential requirements for Robots (mostly for unattended bots).
-Source code management tools and concepts (E.g., VSTS, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Kanban, etc)
-Perform the role of team leader including mentoring for career development
-Oversee and manage vendor submissions, highlighting risks and value propositions
-Good verbal and written technical communication skills
-Evangelise Robotic Process Automation to technical and non-technical staff
-Strong experience as an Architect in a complex enterprise organisational structure delivering Automation projects and strategies (not necessarily RPA)
-Strong technical experience delivering solutions across Cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google)
-Practical experience delivering RPA solutions including Machine Learning, Cognitive/AI, MI and data warehousing
Evidence of Qualifications/hands-on experience working as a developer to Agile practices
-Strong experience designing and developing Restful API integration across platforms (Cloud , Hybrid and On-Premise)
-Experience of complete software delivery lifecycle on RPA projects
-Full development lifecycle of including designing, developing, testing and implementing RPA solutions including hands-on development experience. (Dot Net, Java, UIPath, API Restful integration preferred)
-Experience leading and managing technical teams within Agile and DevOps frameworks
-Experience managing source code and backlog as well as documentation
-Experience of implementing attended and unattended RPA
-Experience collaborating with business teams and subject matter experts in understanding, optimising and/or automating business processes
-Client facing experience with strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
